Chamber Legislative Committee
The Legislative Committee under the Chugiak-Eagle River Chamber of Commerce meets with Legislative members via Meetings, Breakfasts, Pubs & Politics where issues and platforms relevant to state, local and regional topics may be discussed. During the year, Legislative Delegates are invited to the Chugiak-Eagle River Chamber of Commerce bimonthly Luncheon Forums, open to the public and allowing opportunity for the community to engage with them.

Chugiak-Eagle River Area - Community Councils
The Chugiak-Eagle River area has 6 community councils that typically meet once a month in their designated areas.
Birchwood Community CouncilThe Birchwood Community Council meets at 7 pm on the second Wednesday of the month.Meetings held at Beach Lake Chalet, 17611 S. Birchwood Loop Rd.The next meeting is on Wednesday, February 13th, 2019Chugiak Community Council[Serving Fire Lake, Chugiak, Peters Creek, Mirror Lake, Thunderbird Heights and Eklutna]Regular Council meetings are held on the 3rd. Council meetings are held the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM.

Eagle River Valley
Council meetings are held the second Wednesday of every month from September through May.
Meetings are held at Ravenwood Elementary School, 9500 Wren Lane, Eagle River, AK.
Our next meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday, February 13th, 2019
The Eklutna Valley Community Council (EVCC)
EVCC meets during the year, but not on a regular basis.

Chugiak-Eagle River Advisory Board
The Chugiak Eagle River Advisory Board is established in Title 21 by Section 21.10.030.B and is constituted in order to review and make recommendations on actions regarding potential changes in land use issues that impact multiple Community Council areas in the Chugiak Eagle River area. Local representation by Eklutna Village, South Fork, Eagle River Valley, Chugiak, Eklutna Valley, Eagle River and Birchwood Community Councils.
