The Awards are made possible through generous donations from the Chugiak-Eagle River Foundation and Enstar Natural Gas. Each year, the principals of the twelve public schools in Chugiak and Eagle River select an individual they believe deserves public recognition for their outstanding contributions to education.

These awards serve as a visible symbol of our organizations’ commitment to the education community and the vital work they do. They also highlight the powerful impact of partnerships between businesses, community members, and schools in fostering excellence in education.

During the Annual Dinner, ASD Superintendent, School Board Members, and Chamber Staff present each award recipient with recognition and gifts, sharing the many accolades written by their school’s Principal and teachers. This ceremony is uniquely special to our community, as it honors only the ASD schools located in Chugiak-Eagle River, making the evening both meaningful and intimate.
