About Us

The Voices of Alaska's Veterans are in our heart at the Alaska Veterans Museum! From our WWI Doughboys marching off to France after Anchorage's founding;men and women of the Alaska Territorial Guard; our Alaska Scouts; and up to present day service members are represented by artifacts, photos, posters, uniforms, film footage, models and dioramas, and oral histories to show Alaska's unique posting. ?The Museum even carries seal skin mukluks and animal hide mittens used by Maj. Martson's ''Tundra Army''. Through all of these items, our ''small but mighty'' museum provides a snapshot look at Alaskan Veterans' dedicated service to state and nation.
