Chamber Luncheon Forums

Chamber meets on the 1st & 3rd Wednesday of each month at Bear Mountain Grill at 12 noon. Distinguished guest speakers present programs at each forum.

Business After Hours

Open houses held periodically and hosted by various members at their place of business. Excellent exposure for your business or civic organization.

Referral Service
Expand your markets! We answer many local and long distance inquiries. Chamber membership puts you in the forefront.

Target Your Market
Display your business cards, brochures, literature, or menus at the Chamber office located in the Eagle River Shopping Center.

Newsletter
Published online monthly with paper copies mailed to all members quarterly. This is a great way to keep informed on what is happening in the business community. You may place an insert in the monthly newsletter at no charge twice per year or link to your PDF through our newsletter on line.  Deadline is the 15th of each month. Call the office for more information.

Free Luncheon & Introduction
Receive your first Chamber luncheon for free and be introduced as a new member. You may take a moment to talk about your business at lunch. You will also be introduced through the monthly newsletter.

Committees
Active committees of the Chamber for those interested in volunteering some time include, Beautification, Festivals, Legislative Affairs. These committees help voice the concerns and promote projects in our community.

Membership Lists & Directory Discounts
Chamber members are entitled to free Chamber membership lists whenever needed in label format. Chamber members are entitled to place display advertising in the Chugiak-Eagle River Business & Service Directory at a discount. This publication is sent to all residents and businesses in the Chugiak-Eagle River area providing you with excellent exposure.

New Client Prospect Lists/Web Page Link
Only Chamber members are entitled to subscribe to receive monthly lists of inquiries from people interested in relocating or visiting Chugiak-Eagle River. Annual fee for this service is $40 and includes a free link to your web page.

Small Business Workshops - The Competitive Advantage

Annually the Chamber offers small business workshops to meet busy employer/employees schedule over the winter months. These are at very nomial prices and feature experts in a variety of fields. Watch your e-mail for our next event.

The Small Business Development Center has Eagle River Office hours at UAA/Chugiak-Eagle River Campus in the Eagle Center. Call for your appointment -- no questions are too small or too insignificant -- you don't have to be stuck!!!! Call 907-272-7232.

Government
Your membership includes a direct line of communication to the Alaska State Chamber and the United States Chamber of Commerce which lobby for issues on your behalf.

Meetings
Your Board of Directors meets monthly and additionally as required. These meetings are open to the general membership. Call the Chamber to register your attendance.

Commitment
The Chugiak-Eagle River Chamber will present you with your annual membership decal for display, and Chamber pin. We urge you to wear your pin as a sign of commitment to this community.

Community Service Awards
Chamber Member Community Service Awards are presented once per year at the annual dinner to organizations, businesses and individuals for their outstanding service to community.

Distinguished Bear Paw Awards are presented annually at the Bear Paw Festival to one organization and one individual demonstrating strong community involvement.

Community Events - Youth Events
Your membership helps support the annual staging of the Bear Paw Festival, the Winter Wonderland Walk and the Merry Merchants Munch and includes a variety of community activities with strong emphasis on family and youth activities.

Visitor & Community Information
The Chamber operates a year-round visitor and community information center. A wide variety of Alaska tourism brochures are available at the Chamber office as well as local maps, local visitor information, and the Chugiak-Eagle River Business & Service Directory.
